How a copy works
- Click the Tintstep icon. The side panel opens next to the page.
- Hover an element, then click it. The text color is copied.
- Press Esc when you are done. The page is left as you found it.
What stays on this computer
Tintstep reads styles after you invoke it. It does not send the page, its CSS, or asset URLs to Tintstep. Embedded frames, closed shadow roots, and pseudo-elements are outside the scan.

The page scan, the palette, the contrast list, and asset downloads are free. Pro adds a computed-style file for the selected element and a page report for the scan.
